Dentist: William H. Miller, D. M. D.Dr. William Miller has been practicing dentistry in Texas since 1985. After graduating from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry he immediately came to the Dallas/Fort Worth area to start his practice. In 1987 he opened his office in Arlington where he has practiced general dentistry since that time. His primary focus is personalized, detailed care of all of his patients in his Arlington, Texas dental practice. He is a constant student of quality care dentistry and is focused on continuing education courses that will expand his knowledge in the practice of general dentistry. Dr. Miller is dedicated to quality care and takes over 25 hours of continuing education per year, twice that required by the State of Texas. Dr. Miller is married with two children and enjoys time with his family, traveling and playing golf. |

Office Manager: Kathy MillerKathy is Office Coordinator and would be the first person you would have contact with when you call our office. She has been in dentistry for many years and is very patient, understanding, knowledgeable and is always willing to listen and discuss your dental concerns. She also assists Dr. Miller as well and will be with you throughout your appointment time within our office. Kathy is your total patient care advocate in Dr. Miller’s office. She is there to answer any questions you may have during your appointment time within the office. Bottled water is always available during your visit in our office. While waiting during the anesthesia phase of treatment, you may have a magazine to read or maybe just relax with the lights dimmed. Your comfort is one of our top priorities while in our office! |

Fellowship, Academy of General Dentistry (F.A.G.D.)
A Fellowship in the Academy is a high honor bestowed upon fewer than 10% of dentists. To receive a Fellowship a dentist must complete several steps. First, the dentist must have continuous membership in the Academy for at least 5 years. Second, the dentist must achieve at least 500 credit hours of continuing education. Third, the dentist must pass a 400 question multiple choice type test over all aspects of general dentistry, and lastly, he must achieve and maintain at least 75 hours of continuing education credit every three years. This is approximately twice the required continuing education that a dentist in Texas must complete to maintain his license.
Mastership, Academy of General Dentistry (M.A.G.D.)
Dr. Miller received his Mastership in August 2006. To attain Mastership, members must be Fellows in the Academy who have earned an additional 600 approved continuing education credits, meeting set requirements in each of the dental disciplines. In addition, 400 of the required credits must be in participation courses, where skills are learned through manipulation of dental materials or in teaching other professionals in the practice of dentistry. In the Academys’ 53 year history only about 2,000 have received their Mastership. Fellows and Masters represent a commitment to lifelong learning and support for the mission of the Academy, ”to serve the needs and to represent the interests of general dentists and to foster their continued proficiency through quality continuing dental education in order to better serve the public.”
Fellowship, International Congress of Oral Implantologists (F.I.C.O.I.)
Dr. Miller is one of few dentists to achieve a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He has been involved with implant dentistry since the early 1990’s. He discusses and coordinates implant dentistry treatment plans. His emphasis is on the placement of crowns, bridges, partials and dentures over implants. Dr. Miller’s achievements attest to his commitment to improving his skills and his belief that education is a “life-long” commitment.
